MTN Fintech Service Limited, a
fintech subsidiary of MTN that promotes Mobile Money service in Sudan, has
launched a program to train micro-entrepreneurs and promote financial inclusion
in South Sudan.
The "Growing Your Business"
initiative aims to equip local businesses with essential business and financial
management skills that can help them grow and become financially empowered.
During the opening of the training
session, the CEO of MTN Fintech, Francis Matseketsa, stated that MoMo is more
than just a mobile money platform; it is a catalyst for socio-economic
transformation. "Through initiatives like the MoMo ‘Growing Your Business’
Training, we aim to democratize access to financial services and empower
individuals to build sustainable livelihoods," he added.
The training curriculum covers a range
of topics essential for business success, including financial literacy,
marketing strategies, customer relationship management, and operational
efficiency. The training is designed to provide practical insights, expert
guidance, and interactive sessions to enhance participants' entrepreneurial
capabilities and drive business growth. The training program is conducted in
partnership with IFC, our developmental partner.
