MTN Sudan has convened a staff durbar in Juba,
South Sudan, to officially introduce Ali Monzer as the newly appointed Chief
Executive Officer of MTN South Sudan. Monzer succeeds Mr. Gordian Kyomukama,
the outgoing CEO, who is retiring after serving in the role for over four years.

During the event, Mr. Kyomukama expressed
profound appreciation to the management and staff of MTN for their unwavering
support, especially during his absence in 2021. He emphasized the significance
of the support received from the VP’s office and the wider MTN Group,
attributing much of the company's progress to their collective efforts.
Meanwhile, Mr. Andrew Bugembe was announced as
the Chairman of the board, a position he assumed in November last year.
Bugembe, who also serves as the CFO of MTN Uganda, brings valuable expertise
and leadership to his new role.

Yolanda Cuba, Vice President – SEA, who was
present at the meeting also shared heartfelt sentiments about Mr. Kyomukama,
indicating his love for the staff, country, and people of South Sudan. She
praised his dedication to being present and engaged, even during his time
abroad, underscoring his enduring leadership qualities.
Board Chairman Andrew Bugembe on his part
stressed on the importance of culture and people in driving success, expressing
confidence in Monzer's passion and ability to deliver results.

In his inaugural speech, Ali Monzer expressed
excitement, honor, and privilege in assuming the role of CEO.
He paid tribute to Mr. Kyomukama, whom he
regards as a leader and mentor, acknowledging his incredible leadership and
dedication. Monzer pledged to build upon the strong foundation laid by
Kyomukama, emphasizing the debt of gratitude owed to him.
Monzer reiterated his commitment to serving as
a partner for the success of every individual within the organization,
emphasizing collaboration and mutual growth.

Effective April 1, 2024, Ali Monzer officially
assumes the role of CEO of MTN South Sudan. With over 23 years of
telecommunications industry experience and a proven track record of leadership
within the MTN Group, Monzer is poised to lead MTN South Sudan into a new era
of growth and innovation.
