Digital Nation signs MoU with the Institute of Administrative Modernization (IMA) of Angola

Estonia’s digital advisory group, Digital Nation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Administrative Modernization (IMA) of Angola. The agreement appoints Digital Nation as IMA's strategic partner to establish the groundwork for digitalization in the forthcoming years.

It is also expected to facilitate the sharing of Estonia's exemplary practices with Angola to collaboratively develop essential components for building a digital society in Angola.


The President of the Republic of Estonia, HE Alar Karis who graced the signing ceremony with his presence expressed his belief that "Digital Nation is poised to assist Angola in setting up a strong foundation for digitalization for the foreseeable future and could serve as a model for countries worldwide in shaping their digital governance.

Representing Digital Nation at the signing was Managing Partner Siim Sikkut, while IMA was represented by General Director Meick Afonso.


Üllar Jaaksoo, Project Director from Digital Nation, remarked, "Angola is dedicated to accelerating the country's digital transformation, and I am confident that merging our expertise with Angolan determination will allow us to construct a solid base for Angola's digital society."

He further expressed appreciation to the President and his team for their support in this endeavour, particularly Celia Kuningas-Saagpakk, and thanked the Honorary Consul Rui Miguel C. Tati and Estonian Ambassador at large for Africa, Daniel Schaer, for their continuous efforts in strengthening the bond between Angola and Estonia.
