African Union Development Agency-NEPAD signs MoU with Meta

The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Meta. The partnership aims to harness the potential of AI and digital technologies to drive positive change across the continent. This collaboration will also support key AU strategies such as the African Union Digital Strategy and the Africa Union Artificial Intelligence Roadmap.

The African Union Development Agency-NEPAD is set to focus on four key areas through this partnership: digital infrastructure development, AI policy development and strategies, AI and data for social impact, and capacity building and skills development. These initiatives reflect the shared commitment of both organizations to leverage technology for sustainable development and inclusive growth.

From enhancing digital literacy among African youth to promoting responsible AI frameworks, this partnership aims to empower the 

member states and foster a vibrant digital ecosystem in Africa.
