Morocco’s Minister
of Digital Transition and Administration Reform Amal Falah Seghrouchni has hosted
the European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President Ioannis Tsakiris for
strategic talks. The high-level discussion at the Ministry headquarters
explored enhanced cooperation to accelerate Morocco's public sector
modernization through cutting-edge technologies.
The meeting
focused on leveraging EIB expertise and financing to support Morocco's
ambitious digital economy roadmap, particularly in deploying artificial
intelligence solutions to streamline government services. "Our shared
vision centers on building an inclusive, innovation-driven digital ecosystem
that benefits all Moroccans," Minister Seghrouchni stated following
the productive exchange. The discussions identified key areas for potential
collaboration, including digital infrastructure development, smart government
platforms, and capacity-building initiatives.

Vice President
Tsakiris emphasized the EIB's commitment to supporting Morocco's position as a
regional digital leader, noting "Morocco's comprehensive approach to
digital governance aligns perfectly with our priorities for sustainable
development investment in the region." The talks come as Morocco
implements its "Digital Morocco 2025" strategy, which aims to
digitize 100% of public services while fostering local tech innovation.
Observers
highlight the meeting's timing as particularly strategic, coinciding with
Morocco's growing influence in Africa's digital landscape and the EIB's
increased focus on financing digital infrastructure projects across the
continent. The dialogue explored mechanisms to combine EIB financial
instruments with Morocco's technical expertise to create replicable models for
digital transformation in North Africa.

The Rabat
discussions are expected to pave the way for concrete partnerships that will
enhance service delivery for citizens and businesses alike, while positioning
Morocco as a testbed for innovative digital solutions with potential
applications across French-speaking Africa.
