Timbuktoo Africa has convened incubator leaders from
more than 37 African countries in Accra for its Bootcamp for Incubator
Managers, aimed at strengthening the institutions that support the continent’s
growing startup ecosystem.
The bootcamp brought together representatives from
across the continent to exchange knowledge and develop practical tools to
enhance their support for entrepreneurs. Key focus areas included improving
deal flow, refining startup selection strategies, and designing more effective
incubation programmes and mentorship systems.

Organisers emphasized that building strong
entrepreneurial ecosystems requires more than access to capital, highlighting
the critical role incubators play in transforming ideas into viable businesses
and supporting founders as they scale.
The
programme was delivered in partnership with 500
Global and supported by the Government of Japan
through the Japan Supplementary Budget. It forms part of timbuktoo Africa’s
broader efforts to strengthen innovation ecosystems and institutional capacity
across the continent.
