Ethiopia has signed key
agreements aimed at strengthening agricultural development and expanding
opportunities for youth employment and innovation.
State Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Hadera Abera, signed a Host Country Agreement with CABI to establish a
branch office in Ethiopia, focusing on agriculture and environmental
protection.
In a separate development, a
Memorandum of Understanding was concluded with the Mastercard Foundation to
support collaboration on youth employment, innovation, and skills development
initiatives.

The agreements were signed
alongside representatives including Morris Akiri, Executive Director of CABI in
Africa, and Mefthe Tadesse, Director of the Mastercard Foundation Ethiopia
Program.
The partnerships are
expected to contribute to Ethiopia’s broader efforts to enhance agricultural
productivity, promote environmental sustainability, and create economic
opportunities for young people.
