The United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria has welcomed a delegation from UNDP
Cameroon for a knowledge exchange mission focused on innovation, digital
transformation and the future of agriculture.
The visit is aimed at
promoting the exchange of expertise, strengthening regional collaboration and
identifying scalable solutions that can support inclusive and sustainable
development across Africa.
During the mission, the
Cameroonian delegation will engage with several of Nigeria's leading innovation
and agricultural technology institutions, including the UNDP Innovation Centre,
Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), the University of Lagos AI UniPod, the International
Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and agricultural innovation hubs
across Lagos State.
The engagements will provide
participants with insights into Nigeria's innovation ecosystem and showcase
digital technologies and research initiatives that are supporting agricultural
productivity, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
UNDP Nigeria said the
mission offers an opportunity to deepen cooperation between the two country
offices while promoting the sharing of best practices in digital innovation,
artificial intelligence and agricultural transformation.
