MTN Ghana has called for stronger execution, leadership and accountability in delivering projects that support Ghana's development, with the company stressing that transformative ideas must be backed by effective implementation to achieve lasting impact.

Speaking as the opening keynote speaker at the PMI Ghana National Project Management Conference & Project Management Excellence Awards 2026, MTN Ghana's Chief Transformation Officer, William Tetteh, said disciplined execution remains a critical factor in translating national aspirations into measurable outcomes.

Addressing the conference under the theme, "Beyond Vision: Delivering Ghana's Transformation," Tetteh emphasized the importance of strong leadership, sound governance and accountability in ensuring projects deliver sustainable value to businesses, institutions and citizens.

He noted that MTN Ghana's transformation journey demonstrates that sustainable change is achieved not through technology alone, but through a combination of innovation, disciplined planning, collaboration and an unwavering focus on creating value for customers.

Also speaking at the conference, Benard Agblevor, Project Lead for Managed Network Solutions at MTN Ghana, highlighted the need for Ghana to reduce its reliance on expatriate expertise by investing in local talent development and strengthening indigenous capabilities.

Agblevor underscored the importance of building robust local systems and empowering Ghanaian professionals to lead the country's digital and infrastructure transformation.

The conference brought together project management professionals, business leaders and industry stakeholders to discuss strategies for improving project delivery and advancing Ghana's socio-economic development through effective project management practices.
