The Vodacom Lesotho
Foundation, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Maloti and PhysioNet UK, has
provided medical and mobility equipment to support persons with disabilities
across Lesotho.
The donation includes more
than 950 medical and mobility items expected to benefit more than 200
individuals, 10 health facilities and two organisations representing persons
with disabilities.
The initiative, now in its
third year, is aimed at improving access to healthcare, enhancing mobility and
supporting greater independence among persons with disabilities.
Since its launch in 2023,
the partnership has reached more than 1,500 beneficiaries, highlighting the
impact of sustained collaboration in addressing practical barriers faced by
people living with disabilities.
The equipment is expected to
support beneficiaries in accessing healthcare, education and employment while
enabling greater participation in community activities and daily life.
Vodacom Lesotho said the
initiative forms part of the Vodacom Lesotho Foundation’s Access and Inclusion
pillar, which focuses on reducing barriers and expanding opportunities for
people with disabilities.
