Ethiopia’s Digital Ethiopia
2030 vision and the government’s efforts to create a conducive ecosystem for
technology startups and innovation were extensively discussed at the BRICS
Information and Communication Technology and Science, Technology and Innovation
Ministerial Meetings.
The discussions highlighted
Ethiopia’s Vision 2030 and the country’s broader digital transformation agenda,
including efforts to strengthen the environment for technology startups and
promote innovation.
Digital Ethiopia 2030 forms
part of the country’s ambition to accelerate digital transformation and expand
the role of technology and innovation in national development.
The BRICS ICT and STI
Ministerial Meetings provided an opportunity for Ethiopia to engage with member
countries on issues relating to information and communication technology,
science, technology and innovation.
The discussions also focused
on the government’s efforts to build a conducive ecosystem capable of
supporting technology startups, encouraging innovation and advancing the
country’s digital development objectives.
Through the Digital Ethiopia
2030 vision, the government is seeking to strengthen the country’s digital
ecosystem while positioning technology and innovation as key drivers of future
economic and social development.
