The Regulatory Council of
Côte d’Ivoire’s Autorité de Régulation des TIC (ARTCI) has held a session of
the Advisory Committee on Interconnection and Access to Networks (CIAR) to
review issues affecting interconnection and network access within the telecommunications
and ICT sector.
The session took place on
Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at ARTCI’s headquarters in Marcory Anoumabo and
was chaired by Ahmed Sako, President of the CIAR and a member of the ARTCI
Regulatory Council.
The meeting was also
attended by Isaac Gnamba-Yao, a member of the ARTCI Regulatory Council, as the
committee considered a range of issues related to its current activities and
future direction.
Discussions during the
session included information sharing, a presentation and exchanges on the
synthesis of contributions received, as well as reflections on the future
perspectives of the CIAR in its current form.
Participants also examined
various aspects relating to the committee’s work and its role in addressing
issues surrounding interconnection and access to telecommunications networks.
The session was organised as
part of ARTCI’s broader regulatory engagement with stakeholders in the
telecommunications and ICT sector, with emphasis on dialogue, consultation and
the exchange of views among sector actors.
The discussions are expected
to contribute to ongoing reflections on the role and future perspectives of the
CIAR as Côte d’Ivoire continues to strengthen regulatory engagement across its
telecommunications and ICT ecosystem.
