Togo’s National Cybersecurity Agency (ANCy) has concluded a nearly two-week national cybersecurity awareness tour to educate communities about cyber threats and practical measures to protect their accounts, personal data, and digital activities.

The campaign ended on Friday, September 18, 2026, in Notsè, where the agency brought together local authorities, public service leaders, private companies, young people, women, professionals, community actors and other citizens.

The awareness programme was carried out in partnership with Cyber Defense Africa, the ANCy’s technical and operational arm. The teams travelled through six prefectural capitals: Blitta, Elavagnon, Anié, Kougnohou, Danyi and Notsè.

Across the locations, the campaign focused on cybersecurity threats affecting the population and simple actions individuals and organisations can take to reduce their exposure to cyber risks.

Participants were encouraged to remain vigilant when using digital services, particularly by checking information before clicking on links, remaining cautious about unusual requests and protecting their online accounts and personal data.

The ANCy also urged members of the public to report cybersecurity incidents to CERT.tg, with the agency providing 70549325 as a reporting contact.
