Gabon’s National Agency for
Digital Infrastructures and Frequencies (ANINF) has shared its expertise on
national cybersecurity strategies, digital sovereignty and the protection of
strategic infrastructure at Morocco CyberSecurity Week, held from 12 to 14
October 2026.
Organised by Morocco’s
General Directorate for Information Systems Security (DGSSI), the event was
held under the theme “Cybersecurity for Digital Transformation and Development”
and brought together policymakers, experts and professionals from Morocco, other
Arab and African countries, and international partners.
ANINF Director General
Alberto Mounguengui Moudoki participated in a strategic panel on national
cybersecurity strategies and governance, where he shared Gabon’s reflections on
state protection priorities and the need to reconcile digital sovereignty, international
interoperability and compliance with standards.
He also delivered a keynote
address entitled “Stuxnet, 16 years later”, revisiting the cyberattack to
highlight the vulnerabilities of digital systems, including those isolated from
the internet.
Moudoki recalled that
malicious code can be introduced into an isolated system through means such as
a USB stick. He stressed the importance of training engineers with expertise in
both information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT), noting that
attacks on industrial systems can have physical consequences and affect
strategic infrastructure.
The event provided a
platform for exchanges on the protection of strategic infrastructure,
cybersecurity governance, skills development and responses to digital threats.
According to ANINF, its
participation contributed to the sharing of expertise, the strengthening of
cooperation and collective reflection on cyberspace resilience.
The agency said its
involvement was in line with the vision of Gabon’s President, Brice Clotaire
Oligui Nguema, in favour of digital transformation in the service of the
country’s development and sovereignty.
