Abu Dhabi has launched a
strategic collaboration with global artificial intelligence (AI) technology
company OpenAI to expand the use of AI across government administration,
education, investment and the food sector as part of efforts to accelerate its
digital transformation.
The partnership follows
discussions between Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive
Council, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, and OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam
Altman, according to a report by news outlet The National.
Under the agreement, the
collaboration will focus on integrating AI into key development sectors to make
government services faster and more efficient, modernise the education system,
create new investment opportunities and enhance technological capacity in the
food sector.
The initiative is intended
to extend the application of AI beyond the technology sector by embedding it
into government operations and social services.
Through the collaboration,
Abu Dhabi aims to leverage AI capabilities to improve public service delivery,
support education modernisation and unlock new opportunities across strategic
areas of its economy.
