X founder,
Elon Musk has taken a bold step into the world of professional networking with
the introduction of its latest feature, 'XHiring.' This move not only marks a
significant expansion of X's offerings but also positions the platform as a
contender in the job search and recruitment arena, challenging established
players like LinkedIn.
Unveiled
over the weekend, the XHiring feature provides a platform for Verified
Organizations to showcase job listings on their respective handles on the
platform. This initiative comes as part of X's ongoing transformation from a
micro-blogging social media site to a comprehensive digital platform.
The
announcement from the tech giant read, "Unlock
early access to the X Hiring Beta – exclusively for Verified Organizations.
Feature your most critical roles and organically reach millions of relevant
candidates. Apply for the Beta today." This move reflects X's
aspiration to expand its influence and embrace diverse roles within the technology
sector.
The XHiring
feature is currently in its testing phase and is available exclusively to
premium subscription holders. Verified organizations can leverage this feature
for a monthly fee of $1,000 (approximately Rs 82,300). This innovative approach
allows these companies to advertise their job roles on their X profiles,
offering a competitive edge in the realm of talent acquisition.
While the
feature may not offer the extensive features of more established job search
platforms like LinkedIn, it introduces a novel proposition for companies
seeking to diversify their recruitment strategies. The Hiring feature
streamlines the process of importing job data using supported Applicant
Tracking Systems (ATS) or through an XML feed.
Verified
organizations will have the privilege of showcasing up to five job positions on
their profiles, boosting their visibility to potential candidates. This
strategic integration of the Hiring feature aligns with X's recent acquisition
of Laskie, its first since Elon Musk's takeover of the platform. Laskie's
expertise is expected to play a pivotal role in developing and launching the
new feature.
