Lusaka, Zambia - Acting Corporate Affairs Manager at Zamtel, Ndela Sichizya has
revealed that installation work on its online charging system has been completed.
According to him with the completion of the system, Zamtel
subscribers can be assured of much-improved voice and data service experience
and easier subscriber management services.
In the statement, Mr. Sichizya explained that although work on the
online charging system was completed on 22nd December 2021, the months of January and
February were used to monitor the performance of the newly installed
system.
“We
continued to monitor the performance of the newly installed system
throughout the month and February and are now confident that we have
achieved consistent stability on the network,’ he said.
“We were also aware
that some of our customers experienced difficulty connecting to the
network. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this is could
have caused. Our commitment is to ensure
we minimize the level of service disruptions in future while
striving to deliver a better service all the time,” the statement
noted.
