Uganda’s National
Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) is participating in the Smart
Africa World Bank Senior Leadership Cybersecurity Training in Rabat, Morocco,
to strengthen national cybersecurity capabilities and support secure digital government
services.
NITA-U is represented at the
programme by Sarah Ahura, a Risk Analyst Officer. The training brings together
senior leaders from across Africa to build national cybersecurity capacity.
The programme covers
managing cyber risk in the age of artificial intelligence, protecting critical
infrastructure and building a resilient digital government.
NITA-U highlighted the
importance of securing government services as more public services move online,
noting that cybersecurity is key to maintaining citizens’ trust.
The authority said it was
proud to learn alongside its African peers as Uganda works towards a secure and
trusted digital environment.
