The Board Chairman of the Regional Africa Satellite Communications Organisation (RASCOM), Kouame Bini Nash and the Acting Director-General of RASCOM, Timothy Nii Adi Ashong have paid a courtesy call on the Director-General of the Cameroon Telecommunication Company (Camtel), Madame Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi at her office in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The visit afford both executives to
hold discussions aimed at fortifying the existing collaboration between the two
entities. Camtel, Cameroon’s leading national telecommunication and internet
service provider and RASCOM have long nurtured a relationship founded on mutual
respect and a shared vision for advancing telecommunication infrastructure and
services across the African continent.
In her brief welcoming address,
Madame Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi reemphasized Camtel's unwavering support
for RASCOM's mission and objectives and gave the assurance that Camtel is
poised to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with RASCOM's executives, offering
unwavering support and assistance.
She also expressed a keen interest
in aligning Camtel's resources, expertise, and extensive network to help RASCOM
realize its visionary goals.
"Camtel's collaboration with RASCOM extends beyond mere partnership, it's a dynamic alliance where our strengths converge for a greater purpose. Together, we are committed to weaving a tapestry of connectivity and progress that will enrich lives and catalyze socio-economic growth across the African continent," affirmed Madame Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi.
In his remarks, Mr. Ashong
articulated RASCOM's commitment to its mission of advancing satellite communications
in Africa. He reiterated that RASCOM stands ready to collaborate with all
member states, harnessing the collective expertise and resources of the
organization to usher in a new era of connectivity and communication.
"We are deeply grateful to Madame Judith Yah Sunday Epse Achidi and Camtel for the warm reception. This visit has reinforced our belief in the power of collaboration. RASCOM is resolute in its dedication to working hand in hand with all member states, pooling our strengths to achieve the ambitious goal of realizing satellite telephony across Africa," stated the Ag. Director General, Ashong.
Camtel is a board member of the
Regional Africa Satellite Communications Organization (RASCOM) including 15
other member countries.
