.MTN South Sudan has
kicked off its 30 Days of Yello Care initiative, celebrating 30 years of MTN's
impact and innovation in Africa. The launch event saw MTN South Sudan CEO
Monzer Ali, accompanied by employees, announce the renovation of a
four-classroom building block at Muru Community Primary School in Nyakroun
West, Juba.
The Yello Care initiative
aims to improve learning and education at the school, providing equitable
access to safe and protected learning for all children and adults, including
those with disabilities. The project will provide safe learning spaces equipped
with desks, chalk, dusters, blackboards, and digital tools for learning.
The building project
involves replacing the existing substandard structure with a new steel-framed
building cladded with cement blocks and iron sheets, complete with windows and
steel casement doors. This renovation will meet the standard height recommended
by the Ministry of Education, creating a conducive learning environment for
students.
This initiative
demonstrates MTN South Sudan's commitment to transforming education and
improving the lives of communities in South Sudan. Over the next 30 days, MTN
will continue to showcase its impact and innovation in education, solidifying
its dedication to empowering the continent.
