Djibouti
Telecom has welcomed the Minister of Communications responsible for
Telecommunications, His Excellency Mohamed Abdoulkader Moussa Helem, during a
visit to the Haramous Cable Landing Station (CLS), a key infrastructure hub
supporting national and international connectivity.
The
visit was led by Djibouti Telecom’s Director General, Mohamed Assoweh, and
provided the minister with the opportunity to engage directly with technical
teams and gain insight into the operations of the facility.

During
the tour, the minister was briefed on the role of the Cable Landing Station in
enabling connectivity that links Djibouti to Africa, the Middle East, Europe
and Asia, positioning the country as a strategic digital gateway in global
communications infrastructure.
The
discussions also highlighted the importance of the facility in supporting the
growth of the digital economy through reliable and resilient international
connectivity services.

Telecom noted that the engagement reflects the value of collaboration between
government institutions, industry stakeholders and international partners in
advancing national connectivity goals and strengthening digital infrastructure.
The
company expressed appreciation for the minister’s visit and interest in the
