Morocco
has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing digital transformation and
artificial intelligence as part of its national development strategy, during a
high-level engagement with French media delegations in Rabat.
The
Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform,
Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, received the delegation under the “Raoul Tour
Morocco” initiative, a learning expedition focused on exploring the country’s
evolving technological ecosystem.
During
the meeting, the Minister outlined progress under the “Digital Morocco 2030”
strategy and the “AI Made in Morocco” roadmap, highlighting the country’s
ambition to position itself as a regional leader in responsible and innovative
artificial intelligence.
She
emphasized Morocco’s approach to AI development, describing it as a “third way”
model grounded in frugal, responsible, and citizen-centred innovation, while
reinforcing digital sovereignty, trust, and practical impact.
The
Minister also highlighted ongoing reforms and initiatives aimed at
strengthening the digital economy, including support mechanisms for startups,
expanded digital skills training programmes, and efforts to develop the
country’s offshoring sector. She further noted progress in modernising public
administration through more interoperable and user-focused digital services.
Key
national initiatives such as the JAZARI institutes for applied AI research, the
RallyIA innovation programme, and the Digital for Sustainable Development Hub
were also presented as part of Morocco’s broader strategy to accelerate
innovation and digital inclusion.
