The
Ministry Delegate in charge of the Digital Economy and Innovation has
officially launched the LIMO platform, marking a new milestone in the country’s
efforts to strengthen its digital economy and foster innovation-led growth.
The
initiative, launched under the leadership of Safia Mohamed Ali Gadileh, is
designed to support entrepreneurship, nurture local talent and create a more
enabling environment for digital transformation across the country.
According
to the ministry, the LIMO platform forms part of Djibouti’s broader strategy to
modernize its digital ecosystem by expanding access to digital services,
improving innovation infrastructure and encouraging the growth of
technology-driven enterprises.
Officials
stated that the platform is intended to streamline digital engagement within
the innovation ecosystem, helping startups, developers and entrepreneurs access
opportunities and support mechanisms more efficiently.
The
government emphasized that the launch reflects its commitment to positioning
Djibouti as a competitive player in the regional digital economy, with a focus
on innovation, skills development and inclusive economic participation.
The
initiative is expected to contribute to broader national development goals by
strengthening the role of digital technologies in economic diversification, job
creation and private sector growth, while aligning with ongoing efforts to
build a resilient and future-ready digital infrastructure.
