The Digital Cooperation
Organization (DCO) has held its first official engagement with the Grand Duchy
of Luxembourg, focusing on digital transformation, artificial intelligence
governance and cross-border digital cooperation.
The meeting involved
discussions between H.E. Luc Frieden, Prime Minister of Luxembourg, and Deemah
AlYahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization, who
described Luxembourg’s digital transformation model as a leading example of a
people-centered approach to technology deployment.
Luxembourg was highlighted
for its advanced digital government ecosystem, including the availability of
97% of government services online, full digitization of business-facing public
services and a perfect score for mobile-friendly digital public services. The
country also ranks among the top performers in Europe for digital government
performance.
Discussions centered on
Luxembourg’s broader digital strategy, which includes its Tier IV data center
infrastructure and its selection as one of the European Union’s first AI
Factory hosts through the MeluXina-AI supercomputer initiative.
Both parties explored
potential areas of cooperation, including artificial intelligence governance
frameworks, secure and trusted cross-border data flows, compute infrastructure
collaboration and expanded knowledge exchange between digital ecosystems.
According to the Digital
Cooperation Organization, the engagement marks an important step toward
building strategic partnerships that promote inclusive and sustainable digital
transformation across regions.
