Algeria Telecom has secured
international recognition at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)
Forum 2026 after two of its photographers were honoured in the WSIS 2026 Photo
Contest.
The company announced that
the works of photographers Yassine Imadalou and Walid Talebi were selected
among the competition's best images during the global digital development forum
held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The awards were presented on
the sidelines of the WSIS Forum 2026 in the presence of Algeria's Minister of
Posts and Telecommunications and the President and Chief Executive Officer of
Algeria Telecom.
The recognition adds to
Algeria Telecom's participation in this year's WSIS Forum, which brought
together governments, regulators, international organisations, technology
companies and development partners to discuss global priorities in information
and communication technologies, digital inclusion and sustainable digital
transformation.
The WSIS Photo Contest
showcases photographs that capture the impact of information and communication
technologies on societies and communities around the world, highlighting
innovation, connectivity and digital development through visual storytelling.
Algeria Telecom described
the recognition as another international achievement for the company,
underscoring its continued engagement in global ICT initiatives and its
contribution to promoting digital transformation through both technological
advancement and creative expression at one of the world's leading digital
policy forums.
