Algeria Telecom has secured international recognition at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026 after two of its photographers were honoured in the WSIS 2026 Photo Contest.

The company announced that the works of photographers Yassine Imadalou and Walid Talebi were selected among the competition's best images during the global digital development forum held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The awards were presented on the sidelines of the WSIS Forum 2026 in the presence of Algeria's Minister of Posts and Telecommunications and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Algeria Telecom.

The recognition adds to Algeria Telecom's participation in this year's WSIS Forum, which brought together governments, regulators, international organisations, technology companies and development partners to discuss global priorities in information and communication technologies, digital inclusion and sustainable digital transformation.

The WSIS Photo Contest showcases photographs that capture the impact of information and communication technologies on societies and communities around the world, highlighting innovation, connectivity and digital development through visual storytelling.

Algeria Telecom described the recognition as another international achievement for the company, underscoring its continued engagement in global ICT initiatives and its contribution to promoting digital transformation through both technological advancement and creative expression at one of the world's leading digital policy forums.
