Webmasters Kenya Ltd has
signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mozambique’s National
Employment Institute (INEP) to design, implement and maintain the country’s
national Employment Portal as part of efforts to accelerate digital
transformation in the labour sector.
The agreement, signed in
Maputo, will support the development of a digital platform aimed at connecting
job seekers and employers across Mozambique while expanding access to
employment-related opportunities.
The portal will provide
users with access to job vacancies, internships, vocational training
programmes, self-employment opportunities and entrepreneurship resources
through mobile platforms and Employment Centres across the country.
The initiative is being
implemented in partnership with INEP under Mozambique’s Ministry of Youth and
Sports and aligns with the government’s broader digital transformation agenda
under President Daniel Francisco Chapo’s administration.
Speaking during the signing
ceremony, Minister Caifadine Paulo Manasse highlighted the importance of
digital solutions in improving access to employment opportunities and
strengthening services that support young people and job seekers.
Webmasters Kenya Ltd Founder
and Chief Executive Officer James Ayugi said the company will work closely with
INEP’s technical teams to develop a platform tailored to Mozambique’s
employment landscape and local needs.
The partnership is expected
to enhance the efficiency of employment services, improve connections between
employers and potential employees, and support skills development and
entrepreneurship initiatives across Mozambique.
