Uganda’s Ministry of ICT and National Guidance has engaged the Board and Management of Posta Uganda Limited on the corporation’s strategic role in strengthening postal, courier, financial and digital services across the country.

The engagement, led by Minister of ICT and National Guidance Rt. Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba, focused on Posta Uganda’s ongoing transformation efforts, opportunities to improve service delivery and its contribution to the government’s broader digital transformation agenda.

The Minister was accompanied by Minister of State for Information, Communication and Technology Hon. Joyce Nabosa Ssebugwawo and Acting Permanent Secretary Sophia Nantongo during the discussions with the corporation’s leadership.

The meeting explored ways Posta Uganda can enhance its services to better serve citizens while expanding access to digital solutions and promoting greater inclusion, particularly in communities that require improved connectivity and service access.

Posta Uganda continues to play a role in Uganda’s public service ecosystem through its nationwide network, providing postal, logistics, financial and emerging digital services.

The Ministry said strengthening the corporation’s capabilities aligns with government efforts to leverage technology to improve access to services, support economic participation and accelerate digital transformation across Uganda.
