Zeepay Ghana Limited has
assured customers and stakeholders that it is working closely with the Bank of
Ghana and other relevant parties to ensure an orderly and transparent
transition following the revocation of its Dedicated Electronic Money Issuer
(DEMI) licence.
In a public statement issued
after the Bank of Ghana's announcement, the fintech company said it is
committed to managing the process responsibly while maintaining close
engagement with the regulator and all stakeholders.
Zeepay acknowledged that the
development may have raised concerns among customers, employees, agents,
merchants, business partners and the general public, and expressed appreciation
for their patience, understanding and continued cooperation during the transition
period.
The company reaffirmed its
commitment to maintaining open and transparent communication throughout the
process, adding that it will continue to work constructively with the Bank of
Ghana towards an orderly resolution.
Zeepay also stated that
verified updates regarding the situation will be communicated through its
official communication channels as they become available.
The statement comes in
response to the Bank of Ghana's decision to revoke the company's Dedicated
Electronic Money Issuer licence, with Zeepay indicating that it remains focused
on supporting all affected stakeholders during the ongoing regulatory process.
