MTN Uganda has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting communities through initiatives aimed at improving access to essential services and creating shared value across the country.

Speaking during the company’s 21 Days of Y’ello Care activities at Kiyunga Health Centre IV, MTN Uganda CEO Sylvia Mulinge said the company views itself as a development partner and remains committed to contributing to the wellbeing of the communities it serves.

Mulinge said MTN’s involvement in community initiatives is driven by its commitment to giving back and responding to the needs of Ugandans who continue to place their trust in the telecommunications operator.

She noted that connectivity remains an important driver of social and economic transformation, particularly by linking people to information, services and opportunities.

The CEO said the company’s community engagement efforts form part of its broader approach to creating sustainable impact beyond its core telecommunications business.

The activities at Kiyunga Health Centre IV were held under MTN’s 21 Days of Y’ello Care initiative, an annual programme through which the company and its employees participate in community-focused activities across Uganda.
