The Rwanda ICT Chamber has
commenced a two-day workshop for the first cohort of the Mastercard Foundation
EdTech Fellowship, with a focus on marketing communications operations,
performance measurement and business scaling.
The workshop opened on
Wednesday with practical sessions and interactive exercises designed to
strengthen the fellows’ understanding of marketing and communications
operations and their role in supporting the growth of education technology
ventures.
The first day placed
particular emphasis on measuring return on investment (ROI) to help the fellows
assess the effectiveness of their marketing activities, identify areas
requiring improvement and determine where resources can generate greater
impact.
Participants were taken
through approaches that connect marketing and communications strategy with
operational planning, optimisation and performance measurement.
The Rwanda ICT Chamber said
the training is intended to strengthen the capabilities of EdTech entrepreneurs
as they seek to scale their ventures and improve the sustainability of their
businesses.
The workshop forms part of
efforts to build the capacity of Rwanda’s EdTech ecosystem by equipping
entrepreneurs with practical skills needed to compete and grow in an
increasingly digital education market.
