Telekom Networks Malawi Plc
(TNM) has begun strengthening its internal artificial intelligence capabilities
through targeted training for managers as the company prepares its workforce
and operations for the growing impact of AI.
The training session brought
together TNM managers to build practical understanding of artificial
intelligence while also exploring the company’s vision and strategy for
integrating AI across the business.
The initiative is focused on
helping employees understand how AI can improve efficiency, create value and
support new ways of working across the organisation.
TNM said AI could support
areas including streamlining operations, improving customer experience,
strengthening decision-making and developing innovative service offerings.
The company is also
positioning itself to provide AI-as-a-service solutions to corporate customers
through its state-of-the-art data centres, expanding its role from
telecommunications connectivity to technology and digital infrastructure
services.
TNM said the changing nature
of work presents new opportunities for the company to improve how it operates
and serves customers as it develops an AI-ready organisation.
