Yas Tanzania has launched the Tumaini Campaign, an employee-led initiative aimed at supporting expectant mothers and contributing to safer and more dignified pregnancy and childbirth experiences across the country.

The campaign officially began at Ubungo District Hospital in Dar es Salaam, where Yas employees donated maternity delivery kits, khanga, examination beds, bedsheets, aprons and wheelchairs to support mothers and healthcare providers.

The initiative is built around the belief that Yas Tanzania’s social impact should extend beyond the telecommunications and digital services it provides to communities.

Through the campaign, employees are contributing resources intended to improve the environment and support available to expectant mothers during pregnancy and childbirth, while also assisting healthcare workers with essential equipment.

Yas Tanzania said the Tumaini Campaign will continue in other parts of the country as the company seeks to extend its community support efforts to more mothers and healthcare facilities.

The campaign reflects Yas Tanzania’s broader commitment to creating meaningful social impact through employee-led initiatives and community engagement.

As the initiative expands, the company said it remains committed to supporting communities, one mother and one hopeful journey at a time.
