Dashen Bank and Visa have
signed a five-year strategic partnership aimed at advancing digital payments
and financial inclusion in Ethiopia.
The agreement brings
together Dashen Bank’s experience in digital banking and Visa’s global payments
expertise to expand secure, accessible and innovative payment solutions in the
Ethiopian market.
The partnership was signed
by Dashen Bank Chief Executive Officer Asfaw Alemu and Yared Endale, Visa
Eastern Africa Cluster Head and Country Manager for Ethiopia.
The five-year agreement is
expected to strengthen collaboration between the two organisations as they work
to broaden access to digital payment services and support greater financial
inclusion.
Through the partnership,
Dashen Bank and Visa will combine their respective capabilities to develop and
expand payment solutions designed to provide customers with more secure and
accessible digital financial services.
