Accra, Ghana - Vodafone Ghana Foundation in
partnership with Vodafone Foundation has presented 461 cold-chain units valued
at USD$1 million to the Ministry of Health.
The cold-chain units which include
275 vaccine freezers, 184 ice-lined combination refrigerators, and 2 walk-in
cold rooms are expected to help improve the safe transportation, storage, and
delivery of the COVID-19 vaccines across Ghana.

Ghana, Patricia Obo-Nai who led her team to present the equipment to the Minister
of Health, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu at a brief ceremony in Accra said the equipment
donated, will significantly contribute to improving Ghana’s health
infrastructure and support future immunization programs.
“Working with our partners, the Ghana
Health Service (GHS), this equipment will be distributed to various health
facilities across the country. We are delighted to support the Ministry of
Health and will continue to contribute to solving global challenges through
such strategic partnerships,” she emphasized.
She extended the foundations’ appreciation to the
Ministry of Health, Ministry of Communication and Digitalization, UNICEF, Deng,
Head of Immunization Programme, Ghana Medical Association, and all partners.
