Senegal Digital (SENUM) and
Univers Telecom Group (G.U.T.) have signed a strategic partnership memorandum
of understanding to strengthen the country's digital infrastructure and
accelerate the digital transformation of the public administration.
The partnership is aligned
with strategic objective 1.9 of Senegal’s National Agenda for Transformation,
Senegal 2050, which seeks to “Accelerate the digital transformation of the
economy”, as well as the priorities of the New Deal for Technology Master Plan.
The collaboration is built
on three pillars: strengthening the resilience of the State's digital
infrastructure, supporting the digital transformation of the administration,
and developing a sustainable digital services business model for the ecosystem.
The partnership is already
being implemented through the Public Administration Digitalization Program
(PRODAP), in which Univers Telecom Group is at the forefront of efforts to
strengthen the capacities of Senegal's national backbone.
Through the agreement, SENUM
and Univers Telecom Group will combine their expertise to strengthen and build
resilience into the State's digital infrastructure, supporting Senegal's
broader digital transformation ambitions.
