The Ethiopian
Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) has launched a training program
designed to strengthen the administrative skills of its staff, as well as
enhance the digital capabilities of the Information Network Security
Administration (INSA). The training program, focused on work culture, digital
mindset, and project management, is set to create a positive impact on both
institutions, driving innovation and efficient management in an increasingly
digital world.
The official
opening of the training program took place with the presence of two
distinguished leaders—Tigist Hamid, General Director of INSA, and Dr. Worku
Gachena, General Director of EAII. Both leaders emphasized the importance of
equipping their teams with the necessary skills and mindset to navigate the
complexities of the technological landscape and contribute meaningfully to
Ethiopia's digital and technological growth.
Tailored to
meet the specific needs of both institutions, the training program is designed
to foster a global perspective in problem-solving and decision-making. It will
also focus on improving administrative competencies, helping participants
develop effective work strategies in a world increasingly influenced by
artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies.
The training is
being conducted by Dr. Tsegaye Degineh, a seasoned professional renowned for
his expertise in diplomacy and international relations. Dr. Tsegaye’s extensive
experience includes roles at the German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz, where
he managed various projects, handled enterprise architecture management, public
relations, and worked on diversity management. His remarkable career has earned
him the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon from the Federal Republic of Germany,
acknowledging his exceptional contributions to the global professional
community.
The training
program comes at a crucial time as both the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence
Institute and the Information Network Security Administration continue to play
pivotal roles in the country’s technological development. By enhancing
administrative and digital skills, the program aims to create a robust
workforce capable of driving forward Ethiopia’s AI and cybersecurity
initiatives.
