The Autorité de Régulation
des Télécommunications/TIC de Côte d’Ivoire (ARTCI) is continuing its awareness
and support activities on personal data protection, with a focus on social
security agencies and pension funds following the presentation of CERTINUM.
CERTINUM is a national
platform designed for the dematerialized management of compliance and
authorization requests relating to the processing of personal data. The
platform was previously presented to banking and financial institutions as well
as insurance companies as part of efforts to strengthen compliance with
personal data protection requirements.
The latest session provided
an opportunity for Mr. Désiré AKA, Director of Personal Data Protection at
ARTCI, to recall the main regulatory requirements and clarify the obligations
associated with the processing of personal data.
Discussions focused on
helping participants better understand the challenges of compliance and
identify appropriate measures to implement within their respective activities.
Particular attention was
given to the use of CERTINUM as a tool to facilitate the management of
compliance and authorization procedures relating to personal data processing.
