MTN Rwanda has held discussions with the Rwanda Civil Society Platform (RCSP) on strengthening collaboration to advance digital and financial inclusion, education, youth empowerment and community development.

The engagement formed part of MTN Rwanda’s efforts to better understand community needs and identify areas where partnerships between the private sector and civil society can create broader social and economic impact.

During the visit to RCSP, civil society leaders shared their perspectives on the role of collaboration in using digital technologies to create pathways out of poverty and expand access to opportunities.

The discussions explored ways MTN Rwanda can strengthen partnerships with civil society organisations to support communities through improved access to digital and financial services, education and skills opportunities.

MTN Rwanda said connectivity should ultimately be centred on people, opening access to opportunities and ensuring that communities are not left behind in the country’s digital transformation.

The company said the engagement provided an opportunity to listen and learn from civil society stakeholders while identifying areas of shared impact.
