MTN MoMo has appointed Bode
Abifarin as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MoMo Payment
Service Bank (MoMo PSB), effective September 1, 2026, as the digital financial
services business enters its next phase of growth in Nigeria.
Abifarin brings more than 23
years of experience across financial services, consulting, digital payments,
fintech, strategy and business transformation.
Her professional experience
includes serving as Chief Operating Officer of Flutterwave, where she played a
key role in scaling the company across multiple markets. She also spent 15
years at KPMG, advising organisations across Africa on strategy, transformation,
customer experience and growth.
In her new role, Abifarin
will lead MoMo PSB’s efforts to expand access to innovative, secure and
customer-centric digital financial services across Nigeria.
Her mandate will include
deepening financial inclusion and creating greater value for individuals,
businesses and communities through the expansion of digital financial services.
MTN MoMo said Abifarin’s
combination of strategic leadership, operational experience and understanding
of Africa’s evolving financial services landscape positions her to lead the
business through its next stage of development.
The appointment also
reflects MTN MoMo’s continued focus on strengthening leadership and
accelerating the growth of digital financial services across Africa.
Abifarin joins MoMo PSB at a
time of continued expansion in Nigeria’s digital payments and financial
services ecosystem, where increased adoption of mobile and digital solutions is
creating new opportunities for financial inclusion.
