The National Space Program
Management Office (GGPEN) is continuing technical work to restore and optimise
connectivity via ANGOSAT-2 in the municipality of Marimba, Malanje province, as
part of a national campaign supported by the Ministry of Telecommunications,
Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS).
The GGPEN technical team
travelled approximately 210 kilometres to reach Marimba and remains on the
ground carrying out the technical interventions required to restore
connectivity services in the locality.
The operation also includes
the participation of trained local managers, who are taking part in practical
activities and receiving technical knowledge on the management and monitoring
of the infrastructure.
GGPEN said the mission goes
beyond restoring the connectivity signal, with the transfer of technical
competences to local structures forming a key component of the intervention.
Following the completion of
the work, the trained managers are expected to have the capacity to monitor the
infrastructure and contribute to the continuity of ANGOSAT-2 connectivity
services in Marimba.
The activity forms part of
GGPEN’s wider national campaign to recover connectivity points in remote areas
and expand access to digital services through space technology.
