The first cohort of Ghana’s
National Training Programme on Digital Platforms and Domain Trust Security
Operations and Management has successfully completed a four-day programme aimed
at strengthening cybersecurity capabilities across public sector institutions.
The training was held at the
National Communications Authority (NCA) Conference Room in Accra and was
organised by the Ghana Domain Name Registry (GDNR) in partnership with
DoubleOsec and the Ghana Internet Governance Forum, with support from the
Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations.
The programme equipped
public sector information technology leaders with practical skills to protect
government digital platforms, respond to cyber threats and strengthen the
security of digital identities.
Participants took part in
practical laboratory sessions and incident response simulations designed to
provide hands-on experience in identifying, managing and responding to
cybersecurity incidents.
The training also provided
participants with actionable tools and approaches that can be applied within
their respective institutions to strengthen cyber resilience and protect
critical digital services.
GDNR said the initiative is
part of efforts to build national capacity in digital security and support
public sector institutions as Ghana’s reliance on digital platforms and
services continues to grow.
