The Technopolis Development
Authority (TDA) has engaged Korea Eximbank to strengthen collaboration and
explore partnership opportunities as it advances plans for the proposed Konza
Digital Media City (DMC) at Konza Technopolis.
The engagement was led by
TDA CEO John Paul Okwiri during a courtesy visit to the Korea Eximbank team,
led by Jeon Sung-Jae, Director of the EDCF Procurement Department. The
delegation also included teams from TDA and Genesis Design Factory Managing
Director Mike Mwiti.
Discussions focused
particularly on procurement requirements and compliance as the Authority works
to ensure that processes for the proposed Digital Media City are aligned with
the necessary procedures and requirements.
The engagement forms part of
TDA’s broader efforts to establish strategic partnerships and draw on
international expertise to support the development of Konza Technopolis.
The proposed Digital Media
City is expected to bring together technology, digital media, creative
industries, talent and innovation within an integrated ecosystem at Konza
Technopolis.
TDA said continued
engagement with international partners such as Korea Eximbank will support
efforts to establish a globally competitive Digital Media City while ensuring
that project processes meet the relevant procurement and compliance
requirements.
