Seventeen projects have
advanced to the final stage of the Djibouti AI Competition 2026 after being
selected from 127 applications submitted for the country’s national artificial
intelligence challenge.
The finalists presented
their prototypes and solutions to a jury during the final phase of the
competition, hosted by the CLE as part of preparations for the First National
Forum on Artificial Intelligence.
The competition is aimed at
promoting Djiboutian talent and encouraging innovation in artificial
intelligence by providing innovators with a platform to develop and present
technology-driven solutions.
The presentation of the 17
finalist projects represents a key stage in the competition as participants
demonstrate the practical applications and potential impact of their AI
solutions before the jury.
The initiative forms part of
Djibouti’s broader efforts to strengthen its national artificial intelligence
ecosystem and create opportunities for local innovators to contribute to the
country’s digital transformation.
The National Forum on
Artificial Intelligence is scheduled to take place on September 2 and 3, 2026,
at the People’s Palace, providing an additional platform for discussions on
artificial intelligence, innovation and the development of local digital capabilities.
